The “Duty of Care” principle in the UK ensures that all contaminated soil is stored and transported responsibly. Hazardous Waste Management Ltd will operate only with companies that are authorised to deal with such a shipment (for example, haulage of the contaminated soil from site must only be conducted by an Environment Agency registered waste carrier). Hazardous Waste Management Ltd also ensure that a record is kept of all contaminated soil transferred and received through a system of Waste Transfer Notes.
